Rental Process

With the exception of the SLT, which is dropped off and operated by an MD, the Mobile Eye Tech rental process is:

  1. You call us to schedule – many practices schedule all or half of the year of rentals at one time. This way, you can schedule your initial and follow up patients accordingly. You select the day that works best for you and choose either a morning, afternoon or all day time slot.
  2. When scheduling your first rental, we will have you complete a Rental Services Registration Form so that you are aware of our company policies and we have emergency contact information for your office.
  3. You schedule the patients you wish to have evaluated or re-evaluated. If you are a new customer, we will help you determine how many patients to schedule per hour. Generally, 8-9 can be scheduled per hour for the HRT and 6-8 for the OCT.
  4. When necessary, we will provide you with a patient information sheet to complete prior to the rental date (this makes the patient flow process faster and more efficient).

Please note that the GDX is also available to rent with a technician running the system OR as a drop off rental to be run by your office staff.

WE DO THE REST!

  • We call you to confirm the rental day/time a day or two prior to the rental date.
  • We arrive at your office one-half hour before your scheduled rental.
  • We bring in and set up the equipment, scan/run your patient and print out the results for each patient (for your files).
  • After the last scheduled patient is scanned, we disassemble and remove all equipment and leave for the day.
  • We bill according to the hours spent on site as recorded on the Rental Services Form. We require at least a 48 hour cancellation notice or we will bill you for the scheduled rental time.
